Rusne Sileryte investigates the possibilities of integrating geodesign and GIS based analysis to assist the decision making while trying to achieve circular economies and increase sustainability. Her PhD research is specifically related with waste management in peri-urban areas.
In her work Rusne focuses on sustainability indicator modelling using core GIS concepts, translating data into information and communicating it to the users of Geodesign Decision Support Environments.
As graduation mentor, Rusne is interested in projects that aim to use GIS tools for any stage of the design, from the spatial analysis and data collection to GIS-based modelling and supporting design decisions.
